Mouth watering low calorie dessert - Only 180 calories for 1 Pillsbury air fryer donut. Your typical Dunkin Donut has on average between 250-500 calories for one donut. So you can save a lot of calories by making air fryer donuts from scratch.
Easy to make - These air fryer donuts made from biscuits bake up in only 6 minutes.
Kid Friendly - These little 2 ingredient donuts are so light, fluffy and delicious the kids will have no idea you made them from biscuit dough. Let them add their own topping with chocolate syrup, jelly and sprinkles.
Budget Friendly - Costs less than $20.00 to prepare.
Aroma - The smell of vegan baked donuts is like being in your favorite bakery on a Sunday morning..
Ingredients needed and substitutions:
Here is your shopping list:
- 1 can of Spray Olive Oil
- 1 Canister of Pillsbury Grand Southern Biscuits or Immaculate Organic Flaky Biscuits
- Donut toppings and fix-ins that you, your friends & family will love.
That's it, crazy simple right....
Preparation Instructions:
How to make vegan donuts:
Step 1 - Take the Biscuits out and place them on a cutting board and find something to cut out the hole in the middle to make the donut hole...I used a shot glass to punch out the donut hole but if you don't have one try a small glass. Make sure you save the middle you removed to make air fryer donut holes.
Step 2 - Spray your Air Fryer basket with a coating of olive oil and place 4 donuts in the tray well spaced depending on the size of the airfryer. Set temp to 350 F and ~3 minutes on the timer, flip and cook another 3 minutes, or until golden and soft . Repeat until you have finished all of your donuts rings. Don't forget to use the donuts holes as they make great Pop-Um's, aka munchkins.
Step 3 - While the donuts are cooking, the fun really starts...get creative with the toppings.
Glazed, Dipped, Sprinkled and Powdered Yum!
I made a quick sugary glaze by heating some water and confectioners sugar. I Dipped some donuts in the glaze then added sprinkles, both rainbow and chocolate.
I also melted chocolate chips and dipped donuts in the melted chocolate set on a wire rack and added coconut flakes.
For a powdered sugar donut just pour some confectioners sugar in a zip lock bag and toss the donut in the bag right after you dip in the sugar glaze, or plain, give the bag a good shake and voila, a delightful sweet treat.
The sky is the limit here, if you have kids let them design their own.

Recipe FAQ's:
Air Fryer donuts are not only delicious they are low in fat and calories. Perfect for a guilt free dessert. They are light and airy without all that extra oil from frying.
Yes you can have donuts on Weight Watchers. A Dunkin Old Fashioned Donuts has about 14 points for one donut. Instead of using most of your points at Dunkin Donuts try making your own homemade donuts in the air fryer with a can of Pillsbury biscuits.
Set your air fryer temperature to 350 °F. Wrap your donut in a sheet of parchment paper (in case you want to reheat powdered sugar donuts, or any kind of donut with a topping). Add the donut into the air fryer and let it reheat for about 5 minutes before taking it out.
