Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
Whenever I am in the Kitchen trying out a new Recipe I always have a little audience underfoot hoping something slips off the counter. So today I thought, let me make some Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits for my little Furry Friends.
I have two Boxers, Jazzy who is 15 years old and loves Cookies and then their is Roxy who is 1-½ years old and she usually just wants to play but these Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits got her attention so you know they are good.
It's a super simple Recipe with only 6 Ingredients and you really don't need any high tech Kitchen Gadgets. I took out some cute cookie cutters which I had on hand, BUT if you don't own any cookie cutters, no worries, you can make your own designs.
My husband joined in as you can see in the photos his artistic work. He took a butter knife and cut out images, including the likeness of our dogs, Jazzy and Roxy biscuits, and other fun shapes.
Jazzy and Roxy really did not care what shape the cookies were in as long as they were able to munch on them, they loved them.
Here are the Ingredients:
- 2-½ Cups of Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
- 1 Cup of Peanut Butter - I used a Low Fat Version
- 1 Cup of Water
- 2 Tablespoons of Honey
- 1 Egg
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1 - Combine all the Ingredients in a Bowl and Mix together. It starts to turn into a big dough ball.
Step 2 - Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
Step 3 - Sprinkle Flour on a flat surface like a cutting board which is what I used and then break off a piece of the Dough-ball and flatten with a Rolling Pin into a thin sheet.
Step 4 - Then use your cookie cutters to stamp out cookie shapes or use the knife to cut custom cookie design and shapes.
Place cookies on a baking pan lined with Parchment Paper or Foil
Place in Oven and cook for 20 minutes or until Golden
Now it's time for a Dog Party! We invited my Mom's Dog Oliver over for a taste test and he gave it 2 Paws up!! I hope your Doggies enjoy the Recipe too....Just make sure nobody has a peanut allergy........
Oliver gives them two paws up!!
