Lean Ground Turkey - Lean ground turkey keeps your slow cooker chili hearty and satisfying while being lower in fat than traditional ground beef, making it a healthier choice without sacrificing flavor.
Chili Peppers - We used whole Calabrian Chili's and diced them up in a mini food processor. Feel free to use your favorite chili depending on your spice level tolerance.
Canned Beans - Chickpeas, Black Beans and Red Kidney Beans were used for this 3 Bean Chili Recipe. You could easily swap in Cannelini Beans, Pinto Beans or even Great Northern Beans.
Chili Powder - Chili powder brings a rich, smoky heat that enhances the savory flavor of the 3-bean turkey chili, making each bite more bold and satisfying without requiring extra ingredients.
Cumin - Cumin adds a deep, smoky, and slightly nutty taste that enhances the richness of the chili, balancing the tomatoes, beans, and spices for a well-rounded, comforting dish.
How to Make Crockpot 3-Bean Turkey Chili
1: Brown your turkey chop meat and diced onion in a medium sized skillet over medium high heat until cooked through.
2: Transfer cooked turkey chopmeat and onions to your slow cooker.
3: Add beans, chopped chili's, chickpeas, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder and cumin to your slow cooker and mix well.
4: Cook on high 3-4 hours or on low 6-8 hours.
5: Ladle into a bowl and garnish with diced scallions, plain greek yogurt, diced avocado, shredded cheddar cheese and Tostito strips.

- Cool Before Storing – Let the chili cool to room temperature before transferring it to an airtight container to prevent condensation and spoilage.
- Refrigerate Properly – Store in the fridge in shallow containers for up to 4 days for the best flavor and texture.
- Use Glass Containers for Storage – Glass containers help keep chili fresh longer and prevent stains and lingering odors from tomatoes and spices.
Freezing Tips
- Portion Before Freezing – Divide the chili into single-serving portions using freezer-safe bags or containers for easy reheating.
- Leave Room for Expansion – When freezing in containers, leave about ½ inch of space at the top to allow for expansion as it freezes.

- 1 28 ounce Can of Diced Tomatoes
- 1 16 ounce Can of Tomato Sauce
- 4 ½ ounces of Chopped Chilies
- 1 15 ounce Can of Chickpeas

- 1 15.5 ounce Can of Kidney Beans
- 2 Tablespoons of Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon of Cumin
