Recipe FAQ's
On average it takes 3-4 hours on high or you can do 1 ½ hours on high and then turn the cooker to low and cook for 3 additional hours.
Yes, you can put raw chicken in a slow cooker! Slow cookers and Crock-Pots are designed to cook raw meats. The direct heat from the pot, lengthy cooking time and steam created from the tightly covered container destroys bacteria, making slow cooking safe. You can put frozen chicken in a slow cooker, too!
No flipping or turning is not necessary, you need to do nothing more than simply throwing everything inside – the slow cooker does all the work for you.
Expert Tips
- For an extra boost of flavor, marinate the chicken overnight before slow-cooking it.
- Avoid using frozen chicken, as it can lead to uneven cooking and potential food safety risks.
- Trim any excess fat from the chicken before cooking to prevent a greasy texture.
- For added flavor, you can also add herbs, spices, and vegetables to the slow cooker.
- Don't lift the lid during the cooking process, as this can lower the temperature and increase the cooking time.
- Always store leftover chicken in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. You can also store some leftover portions in zip loc freezer bags for some homemade WW freezer meals.

Made this for dinner tonight, easy and everyone loved it!
Linda
Can I use a seasoning other than curry?
Susan
Hi Linda...Yes you can swap the curry with a different seasoning. You can try a Chile powder, cumin or just some garlic powder for extra flavor.
