Sometimes the best recipes happen completely by accident! I originally planned to make classic s'mores cookies for a fun family treat, but when I reached into the pantry, I realized I was completely out of graham crackers.

What I did have was a package of Oreos, so I crushed a few up, tossed them into my chocolate chip cookie dough with mini marshmallows, and hoped for the best.
The result? These Oreo Marshmallow Chocolate Chip Cookies were honestly even better than the s'mores cookies I had planned to make.
Each cookie has a soft and chewy center, lightly golden edges, melty semi-sweet chocolate chips, gooey marshmallows, and crunchy Oreo cookie pieces in every bite.
Using crushed Oreos instead of graham crackers gives these Oreo s'mores-inspired cookies an extra chocolatey cookies-and-cream flavor that my family absolutely loved.
They're also surprisingly easy to make. The cookie dough comes together with simple ingredients like softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, an egg, vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed Oreo cookies. No campfire required!
These definitely fall into my Treat Day category rather than my everyday healthy recipes, but that's exactly what makes them so much fun.
They're the kind of kid-friendly dessert I'd bring to a birthday party, summer BBQ, family gathering, bake sale, or any occasion when you need an easy dessert that will have everyone reaching for another cookie.
If you love loaded chocolate chip cookies, marshmallow cookies, or anything cookies-and-cream, save this recipe. I'll definitely be making these again-although I don't think I'll bother buying the graham crackers next time!

Frequently Asked Questions About Oreo Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Cookies
Absolutely! Semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or even white chocolate chips will work. You can also mix two varieties together for an extra chocolatey cookie.
Try to keep most of the mini marshmallows tucked inside the cookie dough rather than sitting around the edges. You can press a few on top for that gooey look, but avoid placing them directly against the baking sheet where they can melt and stick.
Take the cookies out when theย edges are lightly golden but the centers still look slightly soft. They may look a little underdone in the middle, but that's what you want! Let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, and they'll firm up while staying soft and gooey inside.
A Little Note About Treat Days
Most of the recipes I share are lightened up in some way, but I also believe there's room for a good old-fashioned homemade treat! I made these Oreo Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Cookies to bring to a family birthday party, so this time I went with the real butter, sugar, chocolate chips, Oreos, and marshmallows-and they were worth it!
These cookies are higher in sugar and calories than the recipes I normally share, which is why you'll find them in my Treat Days collection. They're homemade with simple, familiar ingredients, and I know exactly what went into every batch.
If you follow Weight Watchers, your Points will depend on the exact ingredients, brands, and serving size you use. I recommend entering the recipe into your WW app to calculate the Points for your individual plan.
For me, Treat Days aren't about making every dessert "healthy"-they're about enjoying something special, sharing it with people you love, and then getting right back to your usual routine. ๐ชโค๏ธ
