Ingredients

  • 3 cups of Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sea Salt
  • 1 cup of Warm Water
  • 1/3 cup of Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder


Instructions

  1. Combine - In a large bowl combine your flour, baking powder and sea salt and mix well. Next add in your oil, water and chopped chives then stir.
  2. Mix - As you mix your ingredients a dough ball will start to form - knead the dough with your hands for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Wrap - Place your dough back in the bowling cover with Saran Wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Press - Grab a golf ball size piece of dough and roll into a ball and place on your tortilla press between 2 sheets of parchment paper.
  5. Peel - Open the lid of your tortilla press and peel off the parchment paper and you will have your tortilla ready to place on your pan.
  6. Cook - Place your tortilla in a heated ungreased skillet. Let it cook for 45 seconds to one minutes and then flip and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Serve - Remove from skillet and serve. Fold into taco shapes and fill with your favorite veggies or cast iron skillet chickenslices.

  • Choose the right flour: Opt for a high-quality all-purpose flour or a combination of all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour for a healthier twist. Avoid using cake flour or self-rising flour as they won't yield the desired texture.
