  • Diet: Low Calorie

I am pleased to introduce a healthy gluten-free Snickers bar recipe made with dates that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth without compromising your health.

This homemade recipe is an excellent choice for those who are looking for a healthier alternative to store-bought candy bars.

Units Scale
  • 16 Organic Pitted Dates
  • 1 cup of Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup of Nuts ( Brazil, Walnut or Pecan)
  • 1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Butter or Peanut Butter
  • Pinch of Sea Salt

  1. Melt - Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl for about 45 seconds and mix well.
  2. Slice - Grab a pitted date and make a slice down the middle and gently open the date to expose the pocket. Insert a nut in the pocket you just created in the date.
  3. Spread - Cover your Brazil nut or walnut with a spread of nut butter.
  4. Dredge - Dredge your stuffed date in the melted chocolate.
  5. Freeze - Place your chocolate coated date onto a pan lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with sea salt. Place your tray in the freezer for 30 minutes - remove and serve so yummy!!

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use good quality dates, nuts, and chocolate to ensure that your chocolate bars taste delicious and have a good texture.
  • If you don't have a microwave use a double boiler: melting the chocolate with a double boiler will help to avoid burning the chocolate. It will also help to ensure that the chocolate has a smooth texture.
  • Experiment with flavors: You can experiment with different flavor combinations by adding spices, extracts, or other ingredients to the melted chocolate.
