Description

Nothing beats a warm, gooey and chewy cookie straight out of the oven, especially when its loaded with rich and creamy chocolate chips.

Today I am here to share my secret to the perfect chocolate chip cookies with coconut sugar instead of brown sugar.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 Tablespoons of Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Teaspoons of Canola Oil
  • 1/2 cup of Coconut Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of Sea Salt
  • 1 Egg White
  • 3/4 cup of All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • 1/4 cup of Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Prep - Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Mix your butter, oil and brown sugar - then add in your vanilla extract, sea salt and one egg white.
  2. Mix - Now mix your all purpose flour and baking soda then add to your batter and sprinkle in your chocolate chips.
  3. Bake - Drop teaspoon size dollops of batter on a baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake 5-6 minutes until golden.
  4. Remove from oven cool and serve...so delicious!!

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best taste.
  • Chill the dough before baking to help the cookies keep their shape.
  • Place the cookies on a lined baking sheet to prevent sticking and to make cleanup easier.
  • Bake the cookies on the middle rack of the oven for the best results.
  • Try adding different mix-ins, such as nuts, dried fruit, or shredded coconut, to vary the flavor of the cookies.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh and soft.
  • Consider using different flavor extracts, such as vanilla, almond, or lemon, to add an extra dimension of flavor.
