If you don't have an Airfryer...you must get one to make these 6 minute Air Fried Donuts. The Airfryer is great kitchen appliance, because it fries food with little to no oil.
I wanted to make a treat for the Weekend that had to be delicious and something that everybody would enjoy so I decided on these 6 minute Air Fried donuts.
Who knew you could make desserts with this versatile gadget. The recipe is simple, fun and a snap to quickly create unique donuts. They are of course healthier than deep fried Donuts.
Here are your Ingredients:
- 1 can of Spray Olive Oil
- 1 Canister of Baby Grand Biscuits
- Donut toppings and fix-ins that you, your friends & family will love.
That's it, crazy simple right....
Step 1 - Take the Biscuits out and place them on a cutting board and find something to cut out the hole in the middle to make the donut hole...I used a shot glass to punch out the donut hole but if you don't have one try a small glass.
Step 2 - Spray your Air Fryer basket with a coating of olive oil and place 4 donuts in the tray well spaced depending on the size of the airfryer. Set temp to 350 F and ~3 minutes on the timer, flip and cook another 3 minutes, or until golden and soft . Repeat until you have finished all of your donuts rings. Don't forget to use the donuts holes as they make great Pop-Um's, aka munchkins.
Step 3 - While the donuts are cooking, the fun really starts...get creative with the toppings.
Glazed, Dipped, Sprinkled and Powdered Yum!
I made a quick sugary glaze by heating some water and confectioners sugar. I Dipped some donuts in the glaze then added sprinkles, both rainbow and chocolate.
I also melted chocolate chips and dipped donuts in the melted chocolate set on a wire rack and added coconut flakes.
For a powdered sugar donut just pour some confectioners sugar in a zip lock bag and toss the donut in the bag right after you dip in the sugar glaze, or plain, give the bag a good shake and voila, a delightful sweet treat.
The sky is the limit here, if you have kids let them design their own.
The average donut has about 14 grams of fat and about 260 calories compared to which are around 4 grams of fat and 130 calories so you won't feel too guilty eating them, as you satisfy that sweet tooth! Hope you enjoy...Print
